Thanks for the link! Just ordered my trip pods. It's crazy, when I placed my order I saw they added sales tax so I looked to see where they are located and they are about 15-20 minutes down the road from me. Would of been easier to just go pick it up if I knew that ahead of time, oh well now I wait.

I have 3 '85 6.9 motors.
1 is a runner, 1 is for rebuild, and 1 is for parts in case the hot-tanking while rebuilding #2 reveals a cracked block or heads.
None of my passenger side manifolds have those un-used holes, my manifolds are solid.
What year is your engine?
Signature doesn't say.

Now I gotta go out and look at mine in a bit here and look at my manifolds. See if I got those ports. I can only hope .

I doubt any of our production trucks have the ports. That pic appears to be a Navistar or prior production test engine. It will interesting what others report. Include a pic anyone.

Looks pretty good, your gauge pod plastic is smoother while mine is a little more rough. I don't have peak lights either. I have to get another EGT gauge though, this one lit looks horrible compared to the other LED gauges. It came with the used kit so I figured I would try it before I replaced it.

I received my triple pod from glowshiftdirect.com the other day. Of course it was designed for the 92-97 interior so I knew some trimming would be in order. I cut the bottom dash contour off and using a little heat from the map gas torch while heating the inside of the pod I was able to recontour and minipulate the plastic to fit. I picked up some interior plastic paint to match the blue and got it all together today.
It's nice to have the gauges off the tranny hump so I can use the cig. lighter and my cup holders again without blocking the gauges. Plus now my 6y.o. son tells me he can see them from his seat so he's now my audible alert if the pyro starts creeping.

Hey nice job man, looks great. You will have the exact same setup as mine if I get a banks dynafact EGT gauge. How do all the LED lights match on the gauges? Did you have to ground the temperature gauge to make it work? My transmission temp gauge light works now but it doesn't move at all. The manual said it would ground out on the pan but it doesn't work. Also, did you wire it up so that whenever you turn lights on the gauge lights turn on? If so, which fuse do you have to tap out of?

My pod right now look horrible because the EGT gauge is non lit and I put a little light temporarily on the hole in the back of it to make it work for now. The top and bottom ones look the best on mine look the best but the middle one needs to be replaced. But yours looks great, btw: is the paint an exact match? I haven't painted mine yet cause it might be a different shade of grey, you know where to get the exact interior colors?

sorry for all the questions, I just did mine though and I'm wondering how you got certain things to work, thanks.

1. I don't have LED lights, plain bulbs.
2. If you have the Autometer gauge like I do, on the back of it there are 3 posts: S=signal (from sensor) I=ignition (key on hot +) G=ground (battery -)
The sensor should ground at the pan. To test your gauge and the wiring do the following: remove the wire from the sensor and touch it to a known good ground or battery -. With the key on, the temp gauge should go pegged hot. Disconnecting it will let the gauge go back down. If gauge and circuit tests o.k. then the sensor is not working.
3. The paint would be exact I think if we went back to 1987. It's close enough for what and where it is. Anyways it is better than black plastic.
4. I got the paint from Napa, Vinyl & Fabric Paint.

Oh, my banks dynafact boost and autometer temperature gauges both had LED's built into them. I was asking because my autometer is just a tad brighter that the banks gauge, but they still matched just fine. You can see my pod two posts above your pod, I'm pretty sure we have the same boost and temp so I don't know how both of yours don't have leds in them. If the lights are a whitish bright and not a softer yellowish, then they are leds. Anyway, your pod turned out pretty nice looking, good work.

Incadescent bulbs on all my gauges. Wonder if someone replaced your bulbs with L.E.D.s because from Banks both kits at different times that I've installed (NEW from Banks) came with regular bulbs. Plus with L.E.D.s you won't be able to dim them with the headlight switch like you can your dash lights.
