I just got done replacing the egr cooler on a 2004 f250. It started up fine at first, then it started to idle really rough. When I put it in reverse or drive and stepped on the gas absolutely nothing happened. The engine didn't even rev when I stepped on the gas. Then when it was idling rough all of a sudden it died. I tried to start but it would not start. Checked the fuel filter and it had no fuel in it, so I fixed that problem, but it still will not start. I did not replace to oil cooler. All the connections and fuses are good. Any suggestions?
Why did you change the egr cooler? Did you also change the (engine) oil cooler? If you needed to change the EGR, you prpb also have a clogged engine oil cooler.
