Since yesterday was Christmas, all the stores were closed. No one was open... Advance Auto was not open...
Also, it was about 50 degrees outside. Compared to what it had been in the earlier weeks, 50 degrees was nice. I was outside wearing a Tank top and just working on the truck.
Since nothing was open, I organized my shop, got most of my tools organized... Just trying to pass the time until tomorrow when I could go and get the parts I needed...
So, I went to bed with a list and a plan.
This morning I woke up... Snow. Lot's of snow. 6-8 inches of snow. And it's not suppose to stop until late this afternoon.
So... finally got everything fixed on my truck to where I can drive it wherever I please and know it'll make it.... and it snows to where I can't put the finishing touches on it.
Be careful trying to get anywhere.
I don't know about Carolina but in TN & GA people have no clue, it's the other driver that will get you.
I have seen more sideways idiots and multicar wrecks in just a few miles than in my entire state.
We're looking forward to 12-20" in the next 24 hours.
I'm in NJ right outside philly. we are supposed to get crushed, 10-20" i think. the mayor already shut down the city and the eagles-vikings game was postponed til tuesday.
on the bright side i can't wait to finally get to take my truck out in the snow.
No, that's not me and that's not my house, that pic was actually from 2 years ago but it's the
same area in the mountains that just got 6-8 feet of snow from storms this past week.
Crested Butte/Gunnison/Montrose area, kinda near Aspen.
Here's the source of the pic (from two years ago):
I can't believe we don't have snow plows or salt trucks here... I mean, every state, no matter where you are should have some for each county for the main roads..
