plug gap and timing

I have a completely rebuilt '62 390 that's mostly stock except for a slightly bigger cam, fpa tri-y headers, edelbrock performer intake, 750 cfm edelbrock, and accel breakerless distributor.
What's a good general spark plug gap and timing.

What coil? What wires? Probably .045 is going to be good fer ya. Not much advantage of going much bigger unless you have a really hot ignition system.

Thanks ratsmoker. I have stock wires and a coil that is rated at 45,000 volts I believe. What about timing? My engines at 8* BTDC. I heard it might be better to go to 12* BTDC.
