hey guys, im sure this has been discussed before, but the search thingy wont allow words less than 4 letters...ie msd and gap....
i have an msd billet distributor, msd blaster coil, and msd 6al box...what kind of spark plugs should i run and what gap? it has pi heads, stock pistons....78 model...headers, edelbrock performer rpm and 750 carb.....just tryin to throw out as much as possible. thanks for any info
i run mine at the stock recomended gap of .044. have run them like this for about a year and a half. no problems and i have a lot of performance over stock, i would say that the ignition was one of the best upgrade. this summer i might play with the gapping a little. the directions said you could open them up to .055 or.065 if i remember correctly. just run stock first then after you get everything running good go back and open the gaps up a little at a time until you notice the performance drops off, then close them back up to the last position you had them at and the trck was running good. good luck.
