I want to put a flatbed on my 2006 SDD F250. It is the shortbox version. Is there a good source for such units? My local weld shop will build one, but I hoping to just buy one already made. Also, any pics or references to those with flatbed would be appreciated!
I've not had one but have seen several around that were built by CM Truck beds. We had a horse trailer that was built by the same company and it was top quality construction. link[URL="http://www.cmtruckbeds.com/"]
I currently have a F350 dually, diesel cab and chassis on order with a build date of 17 Jan. I live outside Wichita,Ks and Hillsboro Industries builds aluminum and steel flatbeds, including for shortbed. I am having them build me a aluminum flatbed with 5th wheel well and two underbed boxes. RDS is building an aux fuel tank. Just waiting now!!!
If you live in the West, 800toolboWhite City, OR) builds super flatbeds, though more expensive than Hillsboro. I wish you well with your choice.
There are more flatbed manufacturers out there than just about anything else. Bradford makes a good bed and there are plenty more. Usually they are associated with trailer sales so look for that.
WE had a 12' with no hitch on the F450 we bought that they wanted something like $1600 for
about a year ago, can't remember the make but they just aren't that expensive unless you
get aluminum.
For those interested, here is one source: They are making my bed out of extruded aluminum vs diamond plate. Jost Fabricating in Hillsboro, Ks is doing the design of the 5th wheel hitch well and bed install. RDS of Perry, Fl for the auxillary fuel tank. Pullrite Super 5th hitch.

From this site you can get a list of their dealers, and for you galaxie641 there are five dealers in Wyoming. Hope this helps
