The old photo was lost when FTE did a site upgrade. 6 years ago that wore out 302 died and I put in a fresh rebuilt I6 300 engine(with its share of issues)
I was not able to pull the doghouse tonight and confirm where they ended up, but it is clear from the distributor and the direction that the wires are going that it does not match the above diagram, if I'm looking at it right.
Both diagrams (the one I posted in this thread and the other) show the same firing order. The diagram in this thread shows how to route the wires to prevent cross fire. Most distributor caps have a terminal labeled for Cylinder #1. Does yours? If so, is Cylinder #1 plug wire installed there?
I'll have to wait until after Christmas till I can get the RV back to the house and pull the doghouse and re-route the wires. When they replaced the distributor/wires/plugs I had already confirmed that they were running to the correct plugs. But I'll go over it with a fine-toothed comb later. I know right now the wires are running under brackets and close to other metal things. I will neaten them up and use the wire separators I bought.

At this point I have replaced every electrical item on the motor. I have also replaced both fuel pumps and the fuel filter, and cleaned all the injectors. I still have a barely perceptible "stumble" sensation around 45 MPH when I am lugging the engine. The current theory is that this is the torque converter lockup slipping. I've been running Top Tier detergent gasoline through it lately.
