Travis, the setup for the coolingmist is to set a low and high for the start and full flow. I have mine set to start injecting at 5psi progressive up to full blast at 15psi. The 5psi I might change up to 10psi and, well, I'll adjust it according to pulling the 5er and EGT's. Its easy to do on the controller. Ya, so it will be run for awhile before shutting down. Good point to keep in mind.
Falcon, that's what I was thinking, next spring when we leave on the six month trip I'll know for sure. Two hundred miles from home last spring climbing the mountain into Flagstaff I was down to 20mph and knew I was in trouble for the whole 11,000 mile trip. I could have scrapped the soot off of the firewall, LOL Not this time I hope!!
Yeah the progressive controllers are nice to be able to set it according to where it starts getting hot at. You only want to use what you have to.. Like if I had it I'd bring it in around 10psi and full blast at 20psi. Mine doesn't really get too hot pulling unless boost gets over 15psi so that's where I'd need most of the water. It's definitely nice to have and glad your liking it. I can't wait to hear your comments on towing now that you have no boost/exhaust leaks. I'm also glad you decided to stay with TW for the time being. I think you'll be happy with his tunes now that you have the truck up to par.
My first run I had it at 10psi and 20psi. Mine will do the same at 15, the EGT's start getting up there. Guessing with a load I'll go 8 & 16 to start with, then adjust from there, we will see. Thanks for all your comments!!
