So Yesterday morning dad was going to haul water for Christmas use, so he was hooking up the 93 Dodge Cummins to the water trailer which was parked in our yard. He just hooked up and was pulling ahead when he noticed truck was going straight, I guess the pitman arm cracked some time ago and split completely apart.
Just a good thing happened in yard and my V10 got to save the day.
Yeah no kidding its good he caught the problem while going slow!
Has the dodge been a decent truck? Lots of problems like this before? Jim seems like he isnt really hard on his vehicles, so i would assume they get some love.
Scary stuff if it happened on the road - funny thing, lots of people have had similar things show up when stopped or at slow speed. Is someone watching over us???
Ya espically considering 6 weeks ago thats the truck Me and Effie man used to drive to Consul Sk. the very southwest corner to pick up my Case 730. Man if that happen on Buffalo landing valley I think we'd have 2 less FTE members...lol Guess under the strain thats where I might have formed the crack
It would be close tractor looks heavier then it is, tractor about 11-12,000lbs. But what the DOT would got us on were a few brake issues.
Halfway down Buffalo pound valley Chris asked me "whats that burning smell"
