another speaker install question..

I did try and look before posting but this awsome site has TONS of great info. i got 18 pages deep.

i have a '08 f250 sd. cc.
i want to install speaker in the factory locations, front doors and rear back panels, on my own after seeing what the local shop wants for it.

do the door panels come off by lifting up?

for back: do i have to remove the rear bench? better yet...has any one installed the speaker in the door pocket area? i dont use that space ever anyways.

thanks in advance for the info. i want to do it right because im going to keep this truck for ever GOD willing!

For the front doors I think there are 2 screws along the bottom that need to be removed. Then there is a small 3" panel insert under the armrest that needs to come off, and the 2 screws behind that need to be removed. After that it should lift up and off. You might have to unplug the switches before it will come all the way out.

I'm not sure about the '08 rears, but this thread on a 2010 might have some helpful hints.

I did see that, great write up!

Ill start off with the front for now untill I find more info for the rear install. I just can't figure how to get the rear speaker with out removing the bench.

How about the color of the factory wires for neg. and pos.?

Thanks again for the response!

Glad to see you found the wire codes.

The12Volt is a good source for info like that, and just about anything else mobile electronics related.
