Transmission problem reverse only
2004 xlt Supercrew 5.4 169000 klm
Was stopped at light pulled away crossed intersection truck lost power reved but would not go took out of OD no go no forward movement will go in reverse ok
No prior problems had filter changed in september no filings found at that time
Any thoughts what can be gone in it ?? Had it towed to dealer but there closed till dec 28 yikes

When you shift into reverse is the shifter at reverse or does it hit gear further down the line like say around 2 gear or something?
I had a problem like this and all it was the shift cable had come loose and needed to be replaced. It is held on by a plastic connector and cost about $100 to fix.

When you shift into reverse is the shifter at reverse or does it hit gear further down the line like say around 2 gear or something?
I had a problem like this and all it was the shift cable had come loose and needed to be replaced. It is held on by a plastic connector and cost about $100 to fix.
