Brake light failure

I found a break in the wire. It wasn't apparent until it broke off in my hand as I moved the stoplight switch. I don't know the name of the plastic plug connector, nor do I think there is enough wire to work with at either end of the break for a simple inline connection.

I have a pictures of the break, but do not know how to upload the images to the forum, as they are saved to my hard disk, and do not have an url. (The forum's "insert image" button requires an url.)

Is there a way I can upload the images?

Go to (photobucket.com), register and download your photos. Then you can post, send or manipulate them anyway you want. It will give you a URL. There are other sites also but I use the above.

You can also clicker User CP on the blue bar, edit gallery, load your photos on this site. At anytime anyone can click your user name and see your images.

You can try it on my user name.

You can also splice in a section of wire to get length.

Brake Lights failure

I don't know what the parts are called, or whether they are replaceable or repairable. Is there enough visible wire on either end to work with? As I live in a remote area, it's unlikely that any wrecking yards would have the parts.

Hopefully, this is the reason the lights failed. If not, I'll have to look at the turn signal switch. Everything else checks out.

As always, any help is appreciated.
