95' E250 Trans Temp. Sensor

Does anyone know where the trans. temp. sensor is located on a 95' 4.9 liter straight six with auto? (I'm getting a 636 code: Trans oil temp. higher or lower than expected.)

It's an E4OD. The temp sensor is on the solenoid body inside the pan.

The code means that either something is wrong with the wire harness, or something is wrong with the sensor itself, or that transm overheated or overheats.

Try to clean the contacts on the transmission harness (might not solve your problem). New fluid might help. I would erase the code. If the code persists, transmission /sensor needs to be checked.
