I am new at this site and have a few questions. I am looking to install a set of headers on my 93 F super duty {F450} 2wd 7.5, 5spd. solid front axle. I would appreciate any comments or pics of your installs. Hooker and hedman state they do not make headers for this truck. So should i buy the closest to my application and cut and weld as needed? Does anyone know why headers from a F250 2WD would not fit on my F450 chassis? Thanks,
I think the main problem is that there are not many headers out there for the 460 and manual trans combo. Have a look at Doug Thorley headers as they are one of the few that do make them.
Good luck.
I did not know LMC sold headers.I have had good luck with parts i have purchased there. Unfortunately, The Hedmans and the Hookers application list states these will not fit FSuper Duty chassis. I do not know how much different my Chassis is from e F250/350. Banks does not stock the headers for My F450 chassis. Banks told me they could make a set special order for about $1200. OUCH. Diesel brad thanks for the pic of your truck. Those headers fit in there pretty sweet.

Reason: spelling
you can't find headers for your 94 F-450 because ford never made a 94 F-450.
ask for a f-superduty.
parts people can only get what the computer tells them is available, and the computer will not get any hits for a vehicle that was never made.
you will probably have better luck asking for headers for a 94 F-350 460 4X4

I used to think the same thing BUT when i got my F-superduty the title clearly says F450 and that was right from ford

The part houses refer to this chassis a few different ways. F Super Duty F450 And also F47 from the vin. etc.I have owned My 450 10 lugger for 5 years. Have purchased a lot of parts.
My thought about the 4X4 headers. If they were close to a direct fit i believe that Hooker hedman and others would include this chassis under that or any other part number. I am not familiar with 89-96 F250/350 4X2 or 4X4 to know the different front chassis lay out and clearences.
Has anyone seen a 89-97 F super Duty F 450 7.5 with headers installed? I have not seen one. I see cut off wheels in my future. Keep the ideas and comments coming I appreciate it. Thanks.
