Hey guys, I have been searching the web looking for answers. I have a 2003 6.0 250 that is losing power and chugging and belching black smoke from 1500 to 2100 rpm if I do not let it warm up to regular operating temperature first. I thought at first it was a plugged injector and then possible that i had a bad EBP and those were not it. Now I believe that I may have a bad FICM..... any suggestions on tests I can do? Orielleys code reader did not throw any codes, no engine lights, no nothin'. I am going to try another code reader after work tonight and see if I can get any codes. I have read in other threads that possible causes could be bad fuses or relays pertaining to the FICM and the PCM. All fuses were good, when I checked a few mins ago, cant check the relay really, at least not in the work parking lot....... I am open to all suggestions, just bought this dang thing and the dealer didnt do anything but tell me to run atf through it to unclog an injector. like i said it is a 2003 PSD 6.0 with just a hair over 71k on it.
