smoke switch???
have any of you diesel boys ever done a smoke switch? i hear you take the green wire from the map sensor and splice a switch into it??

my 99 psd i heard its the green wire off the map sensor but wasnt sure

From what I know you have to have a tuner, and then buy a smoke switch for it. It increases fuel and decreases boost.

yeah three wires i heard u can slicew into te green one and i seen a guy do it on a 01 cummins with three wires off the edge chipp and he sliced the pink and black wire to a switch i have 2 blks and one green i sliced the green and powered blk to a swich i hit the check engine light comes on and it smokes a little more nothing crazy tho? these guys were talkin rollin coal lik a mother, then i hit the switch off and after a little cel goes away, but with it chipped it barely smokes on setting 5 and the low boost on 5

ok i tink did it right then i put th 5v and singnal to a switch

I've read a couple different things man, I think you did it right though. Have you tried unplugging the map completely? Just to test, not to leave off permanently haha.

no i havnt unplugged it i will try that tonight and see what it does b/c i get more smoke then i did with out the switch but its not alooooot, and i thought i can throw her in 6th gear and lug her to get alot but no it doesnt smoke till thje turbo spools a little then at high rpm it wont smoke idk lol ill try unplugging it

i unplugged it and it smokes but it doest have the CEL like if i it the switch?

Permanently unplugging the MAP isn't advised, but you might have the wires hooked up to the switch wrong or something.
The switch should dictate that there is no boost, therefore dumping excess fuel to the engine, creating more smoke!
