That's for 6.0 PSD's. VGT smoke switch. Could always use the "walmart bag mod" if you want some smoke.

"Wal mart bag mod" now I've got to hear how to do this. Sounds a little risky on damaging the motor

It's patent pending by Tim (TJBeggs)

Discussed...

Please... don't actually put a bag of any sort over your intake and run your truck..

So no one has thought of a smoke switch for the 7.3?

I think the "smoke switch" on the 6.0's does something with the VGT, I believe it leaves the vanes open so the turbo doesn't light as much with rpm=less intake air with more fueling=smoke... we don't have VGT's on the 7.3

the "smoke switch" for our trucks would be a hot chip on a truck with some built sticks.

Otherwise, even on the "smoke" setting I had on my chip, the stock 90cc's just don't dump much fuel to smoke, even power-braking it.

Plenty of people have thought of it, but there is no way to make a smoke switch for a 7.3. If you want smoke, do the tjbeggs patent pending mod already mentioned or nut up for a good custom tuned chip (at a minimum) so you can make smoke. Just use your smoke wisely, diesel owners have a bad enough rap as is.

you could always dump 10 gallons of used motor oil in your fuel tank. that'll smoke everything up! or get a fog machine and mount it under your truck

why does it matter if your truck smokes or not? sounds silly to me to go around smoking everything up.

^^what Cutts and Chase said. Diesel owners already have a bad enough rap sheet as it is.

As I had mentioned above, the stock injectors just don't dump enough fuel for much smoke, even with a hot chip. Those 'videos' your talking about more than likely have some modified Injectors.

Smoke is not performance, smoke is just wasted fuel. Yeah, it can be fun once in a while to select a hot tune and roll some coal, but don't go blacking out intersections at every stop light just to be an ***.

You could make a very good running truck for the money you are wanting to waste by pouring unburned diesel fuel out of the exhaust for no reason. People that do that are just being an *** and are the reason why we are having to deal with more emissions bs all the time. Get an intake, exhaust, good chip and then you can make a little bit of smoke when pulling like the truck is meant to. God I have another reason to never get a 6.0 now if they actually make smoke switches for them.

I hear that. And the only thing that i have seen or heard of other than putting a bag on the intake is PHP 6 pos chip that has a tune called the "smoke show" tune. Yea its on my list of tunes when i get the chip.
