Here in NY (as elsewhere), if the precipitation (rain or snow) is sufficient to turn on your windshield wipers, you have to by law turn on your headlights. My Cadillac does this automatically.
Has anyone figured out how to rewire an '08 SuperDuty to do the same? (only when in Automatic Headlight mode: Wipers On => Headlights On)
Bonus challenge: is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of the automatic headlight sensor? (other than put a hat over it, which is what I'm doing now)
Next time you take your truck to the dealer have them activate day time running lights. You will always have your head lights on when you put the truck in gear. Hope that helps!
Pop sencer out of dash, unplug, spray sencer that sticks out of dash with black paint, (this will keep on all the time) scratch off side of sencer to windshild to adjust, might take some playing with,
The 2010 turns on the headlights when the wipers are on. I'm sure it can't be too difficult of a job. I'm with BBT, ask the dealer to trun on your daytime running lights.
