Standard Color?

Standard Color?
Was or is there a "Standard" color for Ford Trucks? Like i know my '79 got the engine repainted "Ford Blue". Is blue the "Standard" color? Maybe because of the emblem? Or red? Ideas?

There is no "standard" color for the exterior. You could order any available color.
If you were to push the issue of a standard color I would say it would probably be white. That's what a lot of the fleet orders were and if you ordered a pickup bed, skeleton cab or complete cab through the parts department they came in white only. The complete cab came only with a sand colored interior.

There was a standard engine color.
Ford Blue is the standard engine color for these trucks. It wasn't changed untill 1983. It then changed to Ford Gray.
As for interior or exterior colors, there was no standard color, all colors were optional. Now certain parts had standard colors that could not be changed. Black, argent, etc... Steering wheels, columns, grilles, etc...
