intake suggestions?

Hey guys. My intake has duct tape all over it from the previos owner (who took horrible care of this truck) come to find out the boot or whatever is cracked. Should I just replace it or go with an aftermarket of some kind. It looks like I'm also missing the piece that goes from the grille to the box itself.

If it still has the OEM air filter system replace it with an after market ie 4437 Nape et al. Check the turbo wheel for damage as the OEM system was notorious for letting dirt through and causing damage.

I heard about a 6637 filter. Is there a write up on it here? On my phone there's no search feature.

I'd recommend the Tymar intake... give Dale a call

Future Home of Tymar Performance

Also, if the intake boot/tube connected to the turbo is also cracked, you'll need to buy one of those from Ford... for that I'd call Ed

Yup, what he said. If you don't have the time to build your own then tymar is the way to go. Mine doesn't look pretty, but it works. I'll post a pic with the parts I used if you like
