Not this. The pressures listed on the sticker are for load range D tires.

Put on E's and use the manufacturers chart to get the load you need as a starting point. I use 55 front 60 rear not towing and 65 front 70 rear towing,

Have a link or pic of the chart you used ?

Load and inflation tables are not manufacture specific they are standards set by the TRA ( tire & rim assosation )

The pressure needed to support a given weight doesn't change by the tires load rating, it changes by the tires size. 50/55 would still be the correct pressure for An Excursion on a E rated 165/75/16

When I was having issues with Michelin MS2 tires blowing constantly Michelin specified the 55/60 for the excursion with the ms2 I was told the reason they were blowing was under inflation. Now that didn't turn out to be the case, apparently my Ex just hated the MS2 tires. But when they replaced them with the AT2 they specified the same pressure.

As far as the towing pressures that's just where everything feels the best.

If the load range of the tire doesn't factor in why are E range tires recommended when a C aired up is more than sufficient?

If, like mine, it still lists load range D tires, I assume it’s the original.

that is a great question. And one I don't not have the specific answer for other then the tires construction. I can ask a tire engineer for some clarity or specifics on what is internally different between a D and E of the same size.

mine was imported to canada, then sold to the first owner in the US, so some of the stuff has extra stickers..

I've always wondered why this is. I've just adopted the more tire is better approach

Mine is a US to Canada truck as well and has the second sticker. Mine is a 2001 and had D tires listed on the sticker. The recommended tire switched from a D to E in 2004

Don't get it

I run 60 front and 55 rear. Hell all the weight is the motor itself. Not sure why people choose to run higher in the weak and less in the weight. Never had a problem. Run cooper discover AT3 LTs 7-8 months out of the year. Run XLT for better snow traction and down to 55/50 during winter. When she pulls horse they all go up to 80/75. Find the ride quality soooooo much better!
