I already have the 2" hub centric spacers sitting in the EX. Upside is the last set of wheels (located in Leesburg,VA) is only ~10 miles away from me and seller agreed to a lower price than the posting. The others are a 2 hour drive for me.
As Mark said, the lug nuts do not work with these spacers. So, for tonight the wheels are going on without them. Also had to remove the cover on the calipers for the driver side rear wheels as they were rubbing hard.
Well...what an afternoon. Back home safe now. Glad I was at a stopped at a light when the tire went boom!
This was the spare that came with the truck in '00. I installed this on the truck after the Michelin went boom about a month ago. The red & yellow stripes on the tire were fresh when I installed the spare and drove ~1500 miles.
How many techs does it take to figure out where and how to put a jack and lift up the EX?
well i know im gonna get a new spare now since i beleive my spare is the same tire least i know its a firestone brand not sure of its age since it was in the spare tire cover when i bought the truck
Looks like a vintage Firestone Steeltex tire. Mine looked the same in 2002 when it grenaded too.

Yes. This was the vintage spare tire that came with the truck. It was never installed in its 17+ years of life. Found out that the RMA (Rubber Mfrs. Assocn.) says that a tire's shelf life is no more than 6-7 years. Guess it is better to rotate spare tires every once in a while
