I'm in the process of upgrading from an external regulator alt. to an internal reg. alt for higher amperage since im running an air bag system and also an audio set up and my stock alt. doesn't keep up with all that stuff..............has anyone here done this before if so how would i go in removing the old and go in with the new............any ideas are welcomed and hopefully i can post sum picks of my truck soon
Just an FYI... If you truck has the factory ammeter, it will very likely cease to function if you change the alternator wiring too much. I'm not saying it CAN'T work, but the way most people do it causes it to no longer function. If your truck has the factory idiot light, this is not really an issue.
