Heck Jim, I can't even remember who I am this time of year let alone where to meet in a few months. You'll have to give me until after the holidays to think about this.

Right now this is me >

I've been working with some fellow Full Size Bronco owners about a meet and greet perhaps up in the Ocala area. I was thinking of having ours around Spring break time frame. That opens up about 2 weeks worth of time that maybe a majority of people might be off or planning to be anyway with the family.

I would like to try for another weekend event, like we just had. With as big as our state is a couple hr meet and greet is only good for those in the local area. Since our members are so spread out the best thing is to have it somewhere central in the state. Even with that some in the far south or north would have to drive 4-6 hrs and that's just to far for a few hrs. Is anyone aware of any appropriate events going on in the spring? We could get camp sites at the event or close by for the weekend. Any suggestions or idea's? If we come up with something good this could become a yearly event.

Even if the meet was in Orlando, the south guys would still have a couple hour drive. And the farther you move it south, then the travel length just increases for those in the panhandle. There's always gonna be a few guys who are gonna have to travel quite a ways. Not much can be done about that. I must say, even though I live in Ocala, i'm against having any thing here. I'm currently working with some Ranger guys on a meet for January here, and it has absolutely been a pain finding a place to meet up where it's convenient for everyone. We finally decided on the Four Wheel Drive Way trail in the Ocala National Forest, but man did it take forever to decide on that. Let me know if I can be of any help on getting this together Jim!

I'd like to do a meet myself. If I drove the mud truck, it would have to be fairly local. My Mazda p/u, I can drive anywhere. As far as a state wide meet, what about that big show at Daytona Speedway? Its the spring version of the Turkey Rod Run. What about smaller regional meets? The northern guys could do a meet in Ocala ,Tally, or Jacksonville. For us Treasurecoast, South Florida guys, I have a couple ideas. What about
L-Cross or PlantBamboo? The Pearce's and Ed Underhill are both customers of mine. I could check into getting a special group price from either of them. If you don't have a 4x4, we can still cookout and camp, play games, whatever. Just a couple of ideas I had.

I still would like to do a cruise nite somewhere. There is one every Tuesday at the Treasure Coast Mall. Then there is one at the Town Center in PSL one Friday a month. Hell, what about starting a cruise nite at a burger joint once or twice a month. Just my .02

Sounds like all good ideas, can you elaborate more on the L-cross or plant-bamboo. Anyone can have a meet in any region, but there has not been anyone stepping up to do it. I would be glad to meet up for some local cruise nights now and then, but we still need to try to set something up for as many members as possible.

Jimmy,

L-cross and Plantbamboo are Off Road parks-pay to play mud holes basically. I havent been to L-Cross, but they hold alot of events there. There is trail riding, motorcross areas and mud holes. I believe they offer primitive camping too. There website is www.l-cross.com .Plantbamboo I have been too. Its primitive camping as well. Its basically mud only. They do have a swmiming hole.People basically love or hate 'bamboo. www.plantbamboo.com is the website for it I believe. The owners of both places are customers of mine. I might be able to get a group rate, I am not sure, but worth a try.

I don't mind traveling either, just the mudtruck I don't trust on long drives. A cruise night would be cool to do once in a while I think. However, like you said ,Florida is a big state with lots of members. It would be nice to have a centralized place to meet.

I'll be around Clermont during the first week of March and might be able to meet somewhere. But, it would be nice if we could have regional meets since North Florida is a long ways away from down south.
Rich, I've heard that L-Cross is pretty rough, especially in the afternoons and evenings. My brother-in-law used to go out there with the atv's and his kids, things got nasty out there and he hasn't been back.

What about Muddi Gras? It's kind of central, it's about an hour and a half outside of Orlando and they get about a thousand people for the turnouts. They do it three times a year and if I'm not mistaken, the next one is going to be either next month or in March. It's $40 for the entire weekend, I went last May and had a BLAST! Not kid safe, though, lots of boobies flying around if you're stocked up on Mardi Gras beads.

Also, I wouldn't mind getting a once or twice a month get-together so that everyone could meet each other. I'm in Orlando but haven't really seen anyone else who is.

I am not in the Chapter yet but I really would like to join in on these GTGs. I can't really go far because I still live at home with my parents and they are pretty strict on me going places. I'm 19, I know, lets agree to disagree.

Like monstertrucker was saying, there a few local shows in the area I would like to meet a few of the Chapter members at. I live literally 5 minutes from the show at the Treasure Coast Mall. It's called Gweed's Gangsters and I have a neighbor that cycles a few of his vehicles in and out of the show. That one is every Tuesday, come hell or high water. I have yet to visit the show at the PSL Town Center but would like to show up sometime. Since I drive a 2WD Expedition, I can't really go mudding. I would however, not mind showing up to the campsite and maybe riding with someone in their truck if people go mudding.

Really, the reason I'm posting this is to give everyone who's trying to get this GTG together an outside view. That way they can maybe plan. I'm just surprised no one else has posted any interest in showing up to anything.

There can definitely be regional meets or any kind of local meets. Due to the size of our state we need to get some regional Board members set up to assist in planning things in your local areas. Look for a new post on this, I will be looking to establish regional area's and Regional Board members for each region.
Back to the subject at hand, I think we should look into this Muddi gras, for a good central meet. For you more local Guy's and Gals, I would be happy to GTG at the Jensen Mall or at the civic center in PSL, just let me know when you want to meet up. I can be there in about 15 min, but we should post it with at least a week for others to plan.
