We are still looking for suggestions, and we will be gearing towards doing regional meets to keep it as local as possible for everyone. We can also have a state meet once or twice a year, and of course you will always be welcome to go to meets in other regions anytime, or have multi-regional meets. We are still in need of some Regional Directors, so please check the thread and Volunteer for your region if you do not already have a Director. Come on and get involved, it will be fun and painless. And just think the pay and Benefits can be as good as you are willing to give yourself!!
Come on Florida, Wake up! We have one of the largest states in the Country, with one of the highest populations and we only have 281 Chapter Members with about 2% active! We can do better than this! Just get involved and we can! Spread the word, tell your friends, log in and say hello, get out and go to some meets. If there are none in your area, have one!
Sorry Jimmy...........I feel like the energizer bunny without the energy. We've been going & going & going.
This will be our 2nd weekend at home since the holidays began then next weekend we're off to Daytona for Sat & Sun - Steve's going thru race withdrawl's so we're hitting the speedway. 1st or 2nd weekend in March we're going camping near Daytona at the Cabbage Patch bar to see some coleslaw wrestling - bike week. 3/20 is the theater with my mom and then the following weekend (3/25 & 3/26) is Daytona again for the March car show. That weekend (3/25 & 3/26) we'll be camping at the South Daytona KOA if anyone wants to join us. whew..........I need a stay-at-home vacation....
Oh, and in my spare time, I've been working a little here & there on my newly acquired (12/30/10) car. Its a 1964 Falcon Futura covertible.
We are thinking about coming up for the show and camping. I see they charge $30.00 to enter a vehicle, and you get passes for 2 with it, my question is, is this for only 1 day or for the whole show? hopefully we will be able to get a site at the KOA once we decide for sure.
The $30 is entry for all days and if its like the Turkey Rod Run, you get 2 additional day passes for friends/family. Pretty cheap considering its like $15 each for spectators. Plus, with that $30, you get door prize tickets. We couldn't believe all the stuff they give out. Steve even caught one of the rubber chickens for me - turned it back in for $50 bucks.
Sounds like a plan, we are going to try and get a site at the KOA tonight, if so I will enter the truck in the show and enjoy the weekend. Hopefully we will see you there!
BTW, you'll never guess what we just had for dinner - more of those awesome hotdogs you gave us - Steve said to bring us a case, we'll pay you for them. YUMMY
