I am not a fan of the cloth seats either ever since they changed them for the '04 models. The only stain I have is on my driver's seat and it came from water. They stain way too easy. It drives me crazy because I have had that truck for almost 7 years and that is the only stain I have, not even anything on the carpet. I take very good care of my truck, so this bothers me. I rather the cloth they used in the 97-03 models. I think I am going to go with a Lariat next time so I can get the leather with the heated and cooled seats.
Gigger, I had 3 different detailers try and they all used steam cleaning. They were all unsuccessful. Looks like I'm stuck with the water stains.
Not a fan of the sport cloth.
I hear ya! Actually, it was bottled water that caused the stain. I guess I can't complain too much, the truck is getting old and to only have one stain on the seat, albeit from water, is not that bad!
I know I am not playing by the rules here, but I have to say the best looking truck is usually the one sitting in your own driveway or garage.
I think the FX series trucks are better looking than the lariat. A lighter color such as white or silver won't show rock chips as bad as darker colors, but you can always get some 3M protective film installed on the bumpers/front fascia to prevent that.
I do like how each trim level has its own distinctive look. Dodge and GM trucks don't have as many trim level choices, though Dodge comes the closest and still many look the same (chrome bumpers, chrome grill) other than different wheels. The GM trucks have very little distinction between the upper 2 trims levels in terms of appearance.
Personally I have to go with the FX look. I'm going to order a 2011 FX4 myself here in a few months. I used to own a 1990 F-150 XLT Lariat, with Chrome bumpers, brush gaurd and nerf bars. That truck looked amazing with chrome! But I personally don't think the newer trucks can pull the chrome look off as good as the older rigs. I myself much perfer the painted bumpers and blacked out head and tail lights of the FX packages. As far as chipping bumpers go, Both my parents have F-150's, (2004 and 2006 STX's) both of which have color matched bumpers and so far neither of those are showing any chips or anything like that.

But ya Personally FX gets my vote.
The 2011 F-150 XLT that I drove last Friday had the chrome package and I must say that she dressed out real well. Chrome grill, step bars, wheel clads and bumpers with a mono paint scheme. What a beauty! I want one just like.
