don't worry about it. It was kinda funny. But you've got to understand the midset of some americans right now. We're pissed! So I must concur w/ Huntsman on this one.

 

Just for the record,
This situation with Rick & Dubya was made two years.

There are So Many Canadian's that wish we had a leader like G.W. it is un-believable.

We don't seem to have any leadership up here at all,there is so much envy towards the US and GW.

I hope no one thinks there is any one man/woman in charge of any one country.......IMHO they are just a spokesperson for the many people who are actually in command. And those people are not the "voters" as you may think. "Leaders" come and go but the administration remains the same.

While I don't think GWB is a moron at all, I can look (at least) at a post that begins with the statement "This is meant as humor" and mentally say "Oh, okay..."

After all, there were an awful lot of much worse posts by Al Gore supporters over time - and Gore really IS a moron.

In fact - as far as such things go I suppose a lot of the "OH YEAH???" responses are perhaps fueled by the notion that the comments were from people from another country. I still don't buy it, because there have been a whole slew of Canadian jokes here too, and let's face it -
Al Gore's people are from a completely different PLANET as near as I can tell!

Funny though - I'd have thought the average Canadian would enjoy a Sierra Nevada as much as I do...

I apologize if I was the cause of this riff by replying to the original post. I thought it was funny and felt my reply was handicapped because I wrote it on the fly while the original was crafted by professionals.

I must have been too hard on Canada in my reply, I guess I should sprinkle more happy faces in my replies, I'm sorry you give me so much material :-)

I am familiar with the other materials and find none of it objectionable to me. The thing I really found hurtful was the enormous number of people that deemed it necessary to explain to me (over and over) that the original post was a joke.

I'll promise to take it easy on you and use happy faces.


I have made my true feeling for Canada known before. I was born near the Ambassador Bridge and visited Canada many times. Canada was the only Country to smuggle the Americans out of Iran and I'm grateful for neighbors with brass 'nerves'. If we can't kid each other that would be the real shame. I was born and raised watching Canadian SNL actors working in the USA making fun of Canada. Get over it guys, we have bigger problems.

 

Thing is, I don't remember taking any jabs at Canadians in general. I've taken a few at Dennis, and he has had a few at me but I think all of them have been in private messages.

So, the way I read your message, I need to take a few shots at Canadians, just to "Even it up".


Your call, but I do believe that I would be up to the task.

 

Don't forget that we are friends. Canadians have help the United States and vise versa.
