valve cover question

Is there a valve cover that fits the FI eng. that has the "powered by ford" script? I have a 70s one and it hits the rockers on the newer eng. I am not using the fuel injection set up,it is getting a carb. The newer FI cover will work but I would prefer the older type. thanks chris

Not that I'm aware of. Even the newer 300 industrial engines use the plain EFI style valve cover.
You could easily cut apart two old style covers and weld them back together to create a taller one with the "power by Ford" script.

thanks, that is what I thought. I have started on that already.I am going to try and use the newer valve cover as the bottom and graft the top from the old one on to it.

Interesting. I didn't know that the valve covers weren't interchangeable. I figured they'd all be the same, seeing as how the carbed and EFI models are still pretty much the same engine.

Nope, the newer efi eng. has a much bigger rocker arm. It hits the oil baffels on the older ones.
