Oil in Fuel Bowl

Oil in Fuel Bowl
I had started a new thread awhile ago about how my truck went from burning 1 quart of oil every 10,000 miles to burning a quart every 70 miles.
Anyway, I drained the fuel bowl today and the fuel came out black. I forgot to close the valve and turned the key on and it pumped fuel out on the ground. It was still black. Mixed with oil.
I was told there is no return to tank on the new body style. Is this correct? Somehow there is oil getting into my fuel. Is this from injector o-rings? Someone on here said in another thread that it could be a cracked head since the fuel doesn't return to the fuel bowl like on the OBS.
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Ryan

Oil in the fuel = bad injector o-rings.
Unplugging an injector will not change whether or not the oil goes into the fuel. The oil still flows to the injector regardless, so its going to leak even if the injector is unplugged and not firing.
Basically what I'm saying is you'll have to pull all the injectors and re-oring them. Make sure you get the Motorcraft o-rings. I tried generic auto parts store o-rings once... they only lasted a few hundred miles before giving up the ghost. Do the job right, and do it once.

Also to clarify, once in the heads...the fuel does not return to the fuel filter housing (unless you installed an FRx). However the fuel does return to the tank from the fuel filter housing via the FPR (fuel pressure regulator).

Thanks for the responses. I'm gonna just get some new injectors. Was thinking about doing it anyway so now it gives me a reason.....
Started my truck this morning and let it idle for about 30 minutes. Went to go to town and the truck dies on my way. The oil was full when I started it and it burned over 2 gallons just idling. It was noticably smoking for the first time.
Gotta figure out the injectors to get now.......

Been a couple weeks now and it idles slightly rough, but I think I still have some oil in the fuel tanks working it's way out of the system. I'll give it a tank or two and see what happens.
Been told I need to get a regulated return and a HPX kit from Clay. Supposed to help also. I sure notice the cackle now that the injectors have been swapped.
