does anyone know why my slider wont go all the way over to hot???. Ive replaced the heater core too but its getting could enough out that i would like to have heat past luke warm. I know these things can sweat you out but its getting a little cold.
Its stuck like wont move any farther over. Its been like that since i bought the truck It moves free the other way tho. I tried to take the climate control out but I couldnt get it out. had the radio and stuff out but couldnt see the cables.
As Oreo said check you cable. I might have bent the center wire or the clamp that holds the outer part of the cable might have slipped, not allowing the blend door to shut all the way. Did you check the blend door when you replaced the heater core? Ball point pens and the like have a habit falling down the defrost tubes and block the blend door.
no i didnt check the blend door but you hear it flapping back and forth with i change from defrost to vent etc. It just like hits something when i try to go all the way over to warm. Ill take the radio out again and see if I can see the cables. I couldnt see anything last time with the radio out maybe I was looking in the wrong spot.
remove the radio and remove the "wood" trim around it. you can get a better view. you can remove the control panel too with a few screws. get a good view. i havent taken mine apart but if its like my chevys then its a hard wire in a sleeve. if the hard wire gets a kink in it then its not gonna let it slide all the way. check both ends of the cable and see if theres a bend in either end.
