i have a 92 f150 4.9l 6cyl the fuel gauge has been pegged to the right past full for a couple of months now and ive finally gotten around to fixing it. i bought a new sending unit and installed it and nothing. i thought for sure the float and sending unit were bad becuase they were rusted thru but the new one didnt do bupkiss.. just to let you know its on both my tanks and ive put in new fuel pumps within the last 4 months and this problem has been before that. what else should i try? ive looked through all the fuses, nothing; so im thinking it might be an electrical issue but not really sure where to start....thanks for all your help

Reason: not v6 just 6 cyl
An open sender or wire from the sender to the gauge causes the gauage to peg full. Check the harness, connectors, abd tank select switch. PCB dash panel.
so I have question and hope u guys have some ideas. I have a 92 f350 that the fuel gauge reads below empty on both tanks when running or not running with key on. When key is off the gauge will come up slowly to were it is actually supposed to read. This just started last night all plugs look like they are plugged in good checked anywhere wires could have rubbed. Next up is dropping skid plates and tanks was hopping you guys had ideas before going that far. It is a gas 460 not diesel and has never had fuel issues also it was not gradual at all it was an instant bottom out in gauge and will not flutter up or down at all when key is on.
