I just got my 1966 F100 LB with a 352, and 3 on the tree.
I will do doing the bolt-ons to garner as much out of this motor as possable. Headers, dual 2" exhaust, edelbrock carb/intake, ignition upgrades.
I plan to do the C6 swap soon so how much gear can this motor handle. I have 3.73's right now will 2.73's be too much? I don't plan on towing except very rarely, and the most it will haul is maybe 500 lbs from home depot once in awhile.
I think it should be fine becouse smogger Chevys and Fords I have ridden in seem to do fine. Anybody have any experiences?
It will definitely cruise better with the 2.73's but will lack in low end power for sure. If all you do is drive and not much hauling they'd work but I'd go with 3.00:1 at least in a pickup. Little more low end and will still be fine on the highway.
