Its been my understanding through research and observation that the engine brake/exhaust brake on the 2011/6.7L is activated by the Tow/Haul button. I moved a friends 6.7 Lariat the other day, and noticed a button on his dash that resembled the button on the new Dodge and GM with a picture of a 3/4 circle and ascending puffs of steam coming out of it. I didn't have a chance to ask him what it is, but have Ford changed something and put a manual button on the dash similar to the competition? Its a brand new truck, factory ordered with everything except the dvd's in the headrests... Anyone know what this button is?
Here is a pic of the Dodge button, the button in the Ford looked similar, but the "steam" was partway in/out of the circle...
Off road downhill traction control device. It should only be used when off road. It has been reported that it holds so well on a hill you actually have to use some throttle at tims to move. Nothing to do with tow/haul or it's integrated engine brake.
