94 F150

I have a 94 F150 with a 5 speed manual transmission. In the repair manual, they reference different model number (t-18, t-19, np435, etc). How do I know what transmission I have?

Check the sticker inside the driver's side door jamb...it will have the tranny code listed.

The sticker in the door only has an M under transmission type. I am assuming that stands for manual which I already knew or is this a code for the type of manual transmission?

No, the sticker code is specific to the actual transmission, not just if manual or auto.
Sticker code M should be the Mazda M5OD transmission.

Will a M5R2 work in place of a M5OD and if so, is one better than the other?
