94-95 e4od question

I replaced my 94 f150 transmission with a "good" used one, now I only have reverse, 1 and 2. I was reading on here that the mlps pinout may be different from a 94 to a 95. The guy I got the transmission from didn't know if it was from a 94 or 95. How do I tell the difference? Thanks in advance.

I have read some first hand experiences of swapping in a new MLPS on the '94 models and issues the owner had. But everything I have read and advice from good transmission techs indicate there is no difference in the pin-out functions. The wire colors may change but not the functions. The 93 and under and post-'94's seem okay. It is the '94s that seem to have an occasional hiccup.

The MLPS connector shape changed around '95 IIRC. As luck would have it I found this post: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...-im-stuck.html great photos in there.
