I think any Mustang from late '67 to '95? came with 302s. I believe Boss 302's had the Cleveland heads. No wonder they killed the Camaro in the Trans Am races of 1970!

Hi, the 302 came out in mid 68 and the Boss 302 which was so fast came out in 69 and was a totally different engine, pure power the standard 302 was a good street motor with decent mileage not the same at all. John

There was no 302 in the 1974 Mustang II, due to gas crunch at the time.

I dunno what's what. My only point was that 302 is Ford, not Dodge, 305 is Chevy not Dodge, so maybe the kid just didn't know what kinda truck he bought, or perhaps as most of us suspect, there was no Dodge to be ripped apart in the first place! It is a nice little story though. Kinda like the story of the old 1960-something F-100 pulling a Mack tractor trailer (yes, both the tractor and the full length 40' trailer) out of a snow-filled lot...really makes you wonder the laws of physics here, huh?

Alright!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a question, why is it that chevy has yet to come up with a vehicle that can stay together? I mean come on most ford owners can say they never touched the thing except oil and a few other minor things. So for all the chevy guys who have nothing to do go call their dealship so they can get their piece of crap cars and trck and those things they call suvs and trade them in for a real vehicle a FORD. First and the last on the road.

Yeah ok so a SPORTS car beats a Pickup truck.They are not made for running from cops and other things they are made to pull haul and do most any thing you ask of them as far ford being better they chevy there is no question that ford is better just read some of the other boards on this page. If a chevy beats a ford and the chevy has mods what does that tell you. I drive a Ford Pickup a 95 F150 XLT 302 5Spd. I love this truck and i have friends that said oh your truck is a joke and when they got stuck who did they call me I pulled there crapy ##### Chevy trucks out of the mud. I also know that ford is better because my son and his teenage friends do not want a vette or a Z28 they want Mustangs If you read motor trend when they had the challange with the cobra R the camaro and the Viper the ford beat the camaro but the Viper beat them both (more power). If you really need to prove somthing about your chevy's do this better represent them. Oh and if you can't find any fords to beat because you lost to them all try Kia they should be easy for you. with out haveing to put any mods on them
