What's needed to replace the front brakes on an 83 F-250HD/4x4?
83 F-250HD, 4x4, 460, manual.
I'm getting some light pulsing when stopping from higher speeds and I know the pads are on the way south, so I figure it's time to swap rotors, pads, and I'll probably change the piston seals out and replace the lines while I'm at it. Pretty sure everything other than the pads themselves are original.
Anyways, the service manual says to pull the outer bearings to remove the rotors.
Is there any special tool needed to remove/re-install the rotor or bearing?
I've done brake replacements on plenty of "normal' cars, but this is my first time tackling a 4x4/manual locking hub/etc.
I've got most "normal" sockets, but I frequently find myself missing one gigantic one when I tackle a new project on this truck.
Thanks in advance!

Brake work
To replace the front rotors and pads, my 86 needed to have the 2 'pins' tapped out, one on top, one on bottom. It's a strange design, never had one like this...Then the caliper falls off, hang it up with a bent hanger so it doesn't fall or you'll be replacing that line also. I'd not replace any brake lines unless they're really rusty or leaking. Seriously, a front brake job is an hour. The trick with mine was that pin. It's kind of a diamond shaped. You line up the V in the bottom of the caliper with the V in the housing, one on top, one on bottom, then start tapping it in with a hammer...It doesn't fit perfect, but, you'll notice it grab and slowly it goes into the void...the inner part of the pin is some kind of soft material that compresses....it works, just never seen one like that before.

Yes, you need to determine if you have a D44 or D50 first, both sockets look likw the one pictured, but the D44 socket is smaller than the one for the D50/D60.
