Locking Hubs

Ok guys, I know this has been brought up before, but I can't find the exact information I'm looking for and I want to be absolutely sure before I drop $250 on parts that aren't right so I need your help.

My issue is this, my truck currently has Mile Marker locking hubs on it and they are absolute garbage. Got caught in a snow storm Sunday and had to lock the hubs in to get home. Since then I noticed an odd noise coming from the front end so I took the hubs off to see what was going on. Inside one of my hubs one of the spring arms that engages the hub has broken off. I really want to go with the Warn Premium locking hubs so I don't have to worry about this again, but their part look up and what I'm reading online isn't jiving.

On their site it says I need a kit (part# 20990) but when I look it up it says its for D44 axles, my truck has a D50. For the D60 it says part# 38826. I believe I need the same hubs as the D60 but I'm not sure enough to bite the bullet on a hunch. Anybody that has installed these on a D50 or knows if this is the right part?

Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure as long as the 60 hubs are for 30 spline axles they're the same as 50's. Dana 60's are also available with 35 spline, those hubs of course wouldn't work for you.

I did a Dana 60 swap in my 250 and used the Dana 50 lockouts on it.
I would say go with the 60 # and check spline count to be sure.
I used the super winch lockouts,no problems in 3 years.

yep i used the d60 30 spline on my d50. also when i installed the new warn hubs a few years back, theres a washer they tell you to use in the directions that if you try to the hub wont fit, so i called warn and they said do discard that washer. you could always call warn directly if you have any questions. 1800-543-warn

My 97F250HD D50 has the Warn Premiums. They were put on by the PO. I'm not sure how to tell but if I can help getting any info from the parts let me know.

I was going to put warn premiums on my D50. Guys at the 4x4 shop recomended I go with the standard 11690. The only differance is the center is plastic. Center sticks out slightly making it easier to operate. Still has lifetime warrenty on them. Christmas present, not on yet.

Don't forget on the premiums the hub is flush. If it gets sticky you have to find a tool that can get inside the 2 recesses to turn it. the center sticks out slightly on the standards, any old set of pliers will do in emergency. I do much prefer the look of the premiums though.
