Does ford have a kit that is easily added to the trucks to add high idle? Remote start doesnt do **** for me in this weather it might be 45* after running 15min, seems to burn more oz of gas than degrees going up.
They had an AIC controller for the 7.3 and early 6.0. It was intended to control PTO operation. Some guys around here know more about it, I'm sure.
AIC = Auxilliary Idle Control
Are you currently using the high idle feature? If so, why can't you engage the high idle when you shut down, so it will reengage when you remote start?
my dad has a 2000 7.3 but doesn't have the PTO option and in the winter if its cold the truck automatically goes into high idle until u press the brake pedal or after the truck warms up it goes back to normal again
