Bucket seats
Bucket seats
Has anyone put the 73-87 chevy blazer/truck bucket seats into their old Ford? I know it's chevy stuff, but, I just really like the look of them, especially the brown vinyl ones. Besides, it chevy parts and chevy parts are cheap! (and plentiful...)
I know anythings possible, I'd just like to talk to someone that as done it, if anyone has!
I'm open to other idea though too.
Has anyone used seats out of an econoline van?

I picked up a set of leather power buckets from a Caddy. Since they already had a power rack it was just a matter of fabbing some supports. One word of advice; if you go for power seats make sure you write down the year and model you get them from, otherwise it's a long time getting all the wires identified......go ahead and ask me how i know

Heres a link to a thread where I put '06 Lincolin Zephyr seats in my 78.

Alright, thanks everyone. I'll be going to the junkyard sometime soon (weather permitting!), so I'll have to see what I can find. I'm leaning toward something that fits the era of the truck and that might look a bit like a factory install, if they had done one.
But I have to admit, those Caddy and Lincoln seats look tempting! I thought about using some seats out of the early 2000s chevy suburbans or tahoes, just because of the built in seat belts. The only problem is they have built in air-bags, and I'm not sure I want to deal with that. It wouldn't be pretty if one of those went off at the wrong time...

I think up to a 96 will bolt right on to the 79 frame, newer than that fab time.
No welder, no problem get some metal strips with pre drilled holes, sorry can't remember what its called?
I have a welder, but had this stuff with the holes setting around, so its pretty easy to fab up and bolt together.
The seats came out of a car, but work great for a mudder, the belts are out of a helicopter.
I just got a set of 07? with the seat belts built in the seat for another 79, will see how it goes.
Super duty seats with the center seat/arm rest is a nice mod IMO

Thats what I like to hear! I think I have a bit of that angle iron hanging around here somewhere. Welding is something I would love to learn, but I might have to wait a while.

i got a seat out of a mid to late 70's camaro in my plow truck. It kinda bolted right in, the two front holes lined up but not the rears but thats cause those holes are long gone, my floorboards are multiple sheets of metal that have been layered and sheetmetal screwed in over the years...lol.. this truck doesnt leave the yard so safety isnt a big concern.. I'm digging the heated/cooled seats that might be the way to go for me seeing how Im not sure if I want to make the A/C functional again. How about some nice leather out of a late mode Lariat? I know some were heated were any cooled?
