I have a 2006 F150 and the blower seems to only have two speeds low and full blast no in the middle and now it seems when I switch between vents or floor nothing comes out of the floor like a damper isnt working. You can hear it blowing but nothing is coming out... Any suggestions???
It's been awhile, but I recall someone else having an issue with their blend door. Operates on vacuum and there was an issue with the line coming off the HVAC module. If you pull off the center trim panel, it's right behind there and you should be able to see if the line is pinched or off.
i dont know if its the same now, but there used to be blower resistors for blower motors. it what allowed there to be more than two speeds on the fan, but im guessing that you would have to replace that whole selector pod. look into it at your parts store. if they offer a blower resistor , go ahead and dig in and replace it. if not, you'll more than likely have to go to the dealer to pick up that climate control controller. we used to deal with this problem a lot at chrysler, but toward s the year 2001, everything was solid state on the controller.
This is a VERY easy repair....
If your fan isn't working on all speeds, the fan motor resistor is most likely what's faulty.
There are two types, one if you have automatic temperature control, and one if you have manual.
This is the manual one, Motorcraft part #3F2Z18591AA.
One Ford dealer quoted $22.17, another said $36.00
pop your glove box down and you'll see a connector going into your heater box, disconnect remove resistor and replace accordingly.
i found this post on another forum ( hope its not considered cheating) and thought it would definitely help you - the original post ( with pictures to guide you) is here: http://www.f150online.com/forums/art...emtc-hvac.html
