I really don't want to spend more than $600 on the compressor. I have $850 to spend on a compressor and accessories. I may be able to get my wife to free up some more $$cash$$, but I don't want to count on it. I will be using it for (in the future and presently) Impact wrench, air ratchet, painting, sand blasting, etc. etc. Thanks for the help.

I don't think you can go wrong with Craftsman. Especially the oil style compressors. I have an oil free 110v Craftsman that I have used for two years for sandblasting, air tools, etc, with no problems. The only complaint is the amount of noise from the oil free compressors.
Also, when you wire it up make sure your power wire does not rest on the metal air line that connects the pump to the tank. My buddy had one of the humongous oil style compressors that bolt to the floor and his wire rested on that tube. Eventually the tube got so hot it melted through the wire insulation and shorted out the power and put a nice size hole in the metal line. I'm glad I wasn't there to see it happen, or the noise and commotion might have caused me to soil myself.

Oh ya, forgot to add, I haven't had the chance to visit Wisconsin yet, aside from driving across the border once from Illinois to get some cheese and wine. But I did find a Wisconsin beer locally in Oklahoma. It's the "Special Export". Good stuff at a good price!

Thanks for the input. I did have a guy at Sears plug in an oil free 110V to listen to it and then plug in an oil lube compressor. I have to say, that oil free pump wasn't much louder than the oil lube pump. Also, you can't go wrong with Wisconsin cheese. I get my cheese that produced the top cheese in the world a few years back, IMHO the best cheese in the world. On another note, I don't care much for beer in a green bottle (Special Ex, Rolling Rock, etc) If you want a good Wisconsin beer, pick up some Leinenkugel.
