If doing what is your situation on side glass or not glass. this would be the interesting part to me. I think it would take some time and a good shop to do it up straight. might have to borrow from a supercab dent side truck for glass. I'm having to repair a crew cab with some help from some of my buddies. I'm a good welder/mechanic but for some reason body work isn't my specialty. I do OK but want better than I can do. I leave this to my expert friends who make a livin at it. The top of cab could be interesting. and moving cab mounts back and modifying frame for new mounts would take a little time. just been messing with this stuff lately and things I can think of at the time. Its doable and I understand wanting more room. screw the rules build what you want is what I say. good luck and keep us informed. I need to get some pictures of my project at hand for you guys.
A guy up here has done that with his truck and it turned out really good. He took a 4 door cab (bump side) and if memory serves right used 17" of the rear part of the cab, used the door skins to make the 1/4 panel and fabricated in early 90's 1/4 glass then proceeded to use the full interior from the 90's truck, like I said it actually looked as it left the factory that way.
Well, my buddy sent me one photo of the truck just now. Crappy photo only shows the front end. I'll have to go to town and take some other photos and post, but this will give you an idea of how the truck looks. It's a nice one. If you are interested, give Elmer a call.
Here's another shot I took this morning. Sent you an email with several photos in it.
looks great guys,4x4 if you could i'd lvoe to see pics man.
blayton do you have a pic?
Sorry no pic. but maybe be able to find if you cruise the Arthur Ford Truck show on Google. They may have past photos on the site of the trucks in attendance.
That's a good looking truck I very rarely see any in that condition around my area. Any idea what the asking price is?
Yes, it's a very nice truck - original interior is in VERY GOOD condition - including two-toned rubber floor mat - has not holes in it!! Truck has been repainted outside but I believe it is correct colors. Truck shows really low mileage, which I believe to be correct, as the doors shut so tight, the steering wheel in is great shape etc. Does have a new dash cover over the original dash pad - but it's hard to tell it's not original.
He's asking $5500.
If I hadn't just finished dumping $20,000 in mine, I'd buy it!!

Hey Phil I love your truck the white and black together look great on it just think if you bought this truck then you wouldn't have that interior that I envy you for Haha. Do you have q pic of the dash pad they put over the stock one? I'm curious how it fits

Thanks, I'm kinda proud of the truck even though I put way too much $ in it - as you say, it's like I wanted it and couldn't have gotten one "off the lot" this way.
Here's the only pic I have showing the dash pad cover - it really does fit nice and tight - difficult to tell it's a cover without really looking at it. It wraps the front edge and returns under so it really makes a snug fit. The covers cost about $100 vs a new dashpad which is about $350+
