I have a 87 Bronco 2 XLT and i am having problems witbh it starting in the cold. hell it wont start period in cold. i live in va and it is just starting to get cold. this is a problem. i have a few people tell me its my EGR valve sensor that is giving me problems, and that is why it is not starting.
so here is the run down. i go out in a cold day/night/morning and i go to start engine. it turns over. it will turn over all day. but it will not catch. this is happened a few times. and again it only happens when it is cold. please help guys
my dad's has been having the same issue. no fuel pressure, so he figured the fuel pump...welp, put the 2nd one in last night and today it left me stranded at work. this BII is hit and miss though, this morning it cracked off and then tonight, like i said, nothing. even though it is hit and miss with this problem, when it does act up it is cold outside. would it be the MAP on this one too? i would have never guessed the MAP in a million years, personally...how does that keep my engine from firing? i'm educated as a diesel tech so some of these gas fuel systems kinda boggle my mind...
this is late i know but i figured out because i found out the is the map sensor was bad tht it for some reason wouldnt let the truck start. and when i checked it it had gunk in the sensor, so it was forsure bad. once i repaced it had no problems.
