Ok I've got a 95 f150 dual tanks and I just replaced my rear tank and now time for front I'm getting a new used tank out of a 92 tank matches and I'm going to use my fuel sending unit with new pump. I've looked on here and have gotten confused by people talking about rear tank filling front or vise versa is that common and should I be worried about this and replace other parts while the tanks off any help appreachiated
The new pump (FDM) is where the valves are that cause the rear tank filling front or vise versa. All you can do is replace the pump (FDM) if this happens. The old one may last you for years or go out in a few days, you never know.
I have had both of my pumps stop pumping on my 95 about 6 months apart and I replaced both (the FDM) with used ones I took out of another 95 and they are still working after 2 years.
I have never had the cross fuel problem in any of my trucks.
