NO START AFTER OIL AND FUEL FILTER CHANGE! STARTED THEN DIED OUT NOW BATTERIES R DEAD

I changed the oil and all filters last night, started the truck up and it started up perfectly then after about two minutes it shut down! I cycled it two times before I started it and thought that would have been enough sadly mistaken!! now I for the life of me can not get it started! batteries went dead a few times! I am not getting to far with solving this problem and now it has started snowing i was out there till 2am last night up early today and have been trying to fix this all day called ford and did not get too much info! basically now I am on the third charge of the day! ! I am charging them again and would like to know if the 2003 F-350 6.0 powerstroke lariat has the fuel shut off button near the glove compartment?

sounds like its air locked on the 6.0's there really isnt a injector pump theres 2 oil pumps one that is in the pan and one thats on the motor i beleive that 'pops' the injectors id try bleeding the system first and another thing dont turn the motor over more then 5 seconds it really shortens the life of your starter

Did you fill up the oil filter before putting it on? I did that on a 466 and it died and died until it got more oil. Woops.. LOL

We have a 6.0 forum here second to NONE on the planet. Why do you want to send him to someone that gives HORRIBLE advice. That guy doesn't even know what Ford gold coolant is made from, much less what to do to properly fix a 6.0 ford.

You can't fill the oil filter on a 6.0. It's made to drain when you open the filter housing for service. Nothing like a 466, sorry.

Thanks......he came over and posted and we're working on it now.

IMHO it's a nicked o-ring from the install and it's leaking air somewhere. It should be fairly easy to resolve unless something coincidental happened.
