antenna adapter? need help

I have been told that I need an antenna adapter... I am putting a 2008 Ford F150 radio into my 04 F150 truck and the antenna plug don't match the newer radio...
I need to know how to make the 04 antenna work with the 08 radio. Where do I get such a thing?

Stopped at a Car Stereo shop today and they said I may need to go to the dealer... Anyone out there have an idea?

Found one

I finally found a guy at Crutchfield that understood what I wanted... Thanks.
Most of the local shops asked me to take the radio back out and bring it into the store.

Yep been there done that,when I put an 08 Nav radio into my 06 and my Sirius module wouldn't hook up to the new antenna style

Can somebody please tell me what kind of adaptor is required. I have the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the help. I was able to find the right adaptor at a local audio store. Its actually a chrysler antenna adaptor. It plugged right in and works awesome. My truck is a 2005 f150, and i mounted a radio from a 2008. I did notice that the sub hits way harder with the 2008 head unit

Get a hold of Crutchfeild, they’ll get you set up with the right adapter.
