Hub Caps for 1966 ford truck

Which hub caps are you looking for? There is one set used with a "innie" wheel and the hub caps snap to the inside of the circle around the lug nuts. The hub cap is often referred to as a bottle cap as there are some notches around the outside diameter. Often times the are painted white with red ford letters across the center. These are re-popped by Dennis Carpenter, but in stainless steel.
There is another set that were also used on some of the Ford cars along with the pickups and are used with an "outie" wheel, the hub caps snap to the outside of the center around the lug nuts. These are stainless I believe and have Ford written across the the outside twice.
Which set are you looking for? I have both sets but I am going to use the second one "outie" since that is what wheels I have and do not want to source all new rims. I would be willing to sell the bottle cap style "innie" style as I dont have the correct wheels and they are taking space on my shelf. I have a post on the forum if you look at my history with pictures of the bottle cap style that I would have for sale. Let me know if you are interested and we can work something out.

I will repeat, Dennis Carpenter reproduces the correct 1966 F100 custom cab 15" full wheel covers. They are the same as used on 1966 Broncos.
Standard cabs received 10 1/4" diameter bar caps with ford on each side. These were painted argent silver with red letters and are not reproduced.
Cars received a stainless steel 9 1/2" of similar design.
The correct stainless steel 61 to 65 are reproduced by OVAL parts. Polished stainless with black ford letters. Standard cab trucks received argent silver painted caps with red letters that are not reproduced.

As original:
1961/65 F100's came with 'INNIE' wheels. The 9 1/2" innie stainless steel only bottlecap hubcap (has 12: /_\ around the outer perimeter) has been reproduced = C3TZ1130A
1966 F100's came with 'OUTIE' wheels. The 10 1/4" outie hubcaps are not reproduced. The stainless steel version is the same as 1964 Galaxie: C4AZ1130A. There are TWO different versions of this painted cap...white and argent.
1966 F100 10 1/4" outie hubcaps (painted/stainless) have a raised embossed slash thru the center with FORD above/below in a 1/2 moon crescent pattern. There is NO SUCH THING as a 9 1/2" version of these outie hubcaps.
These two hubcaps are pictured in the 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog in TEXT, SECTION 12, Page 1. Type 1 (innie) & type 2 (outie).
I know you have this catalog Dave, since you borrowed my CD version on 6/25/2010 to download and have NOT returned it yet.
Since wheels get swapped around, who knows what wheels are on what year F100 today?
In 1966, FoMoCo offered full WHEEL COVERS as an option for F100 2WD & 4WD's. The same covers were standard equipment on 1966/77 Bronco's. Shown as type 5 in above reference.
2WD & Bronco rear: The wheel cover has a red plastic emblem, while the 4WD front wheel cover has a red plastic ring to allow the 4WD hub to poke thru.
On 11/13, I was at Early Ford Store (earlyfordstore.com) located in San Dimas CA.
In their hubcap pile are THREE painted white innie bottlecap hubcaps in nice condition $10.00 each, and ONE white 1966 outie cap (it's shopworn NOS) also 10 bucks.
RIDICULOUS: There are 100's of threads on this FAQ. Doesn't anyone bother using the SEARCH feature? One member of this forum recently took the time and trouble to post color pictures of each type in his photo gallery with part numbers.

New, original spotlights and parts are available from Unity, who supplied them to FoMoCo.
btw: This ebay seller is as clueless as clueless can be. Does not know the correct year of any of the hubcaps. The FORD marked 'poverty' hubcaps are 1960/63 Falcon (CODZ1130A) also used on some 1961/64 E100's.
The 'poverty' hubcaps with the Ford CREST are D3AZ1130A = 1973/74 Galaxie & Torino.
His "I know these are 1960's vintage hubcaps" ARE NOT. They are B7A-1130-C = 10" 1957 Ford Passenger Cars (Custom/Custom300/Fairlane/Fairlane500) and 1957 Thunderbird. Also used on 1959 Ford Passenger Cars (1958 is one year only).

I have a set of 4 NOS caps but was hoping to sell the new wheels with them.
They do come up on ebay every now and then.

So NumberDummy.....your post above says that the poverty caps came painted white with red letters or silver with red letters.....would this have been a random thing or is there a way to know for sure which color the poverty caps should be for a given truck.
The truck I'm picking up on Sunday has the poverty caps, but the paint appears to be long gone.

To add to the mix a little bit...my best educated guess based on factory pics, literature and so forth...the White caps with red lettering...most likely the bese model trucks...the silver or argent as Ford termed the color is whats most likely on the CC trucks...less plain jane looking I gather.....most were red lettering...the only black lettering Ive seen is on the 66 caps...and the 66 stainless caps only had black lettering.
Now for the fly in the ointment...all of these caps will fit any innie wheel...so if your rig has mix and matched caps...its any guess...as Bill has said umpteen times as to what your specific truck had when new...my 3/4 ton had silver split rims on it originally...as Bill explained to me some time ago which I went and looked closely...guess what...he is right...am I surprised...not one bit...so thats that...
no 3/4 ton caps are reproduced period...BossMan...are your NOS ones 1/2 or 3/4 ton ??? Innie or outie ??? Im on the hunt for some 3/4 ton ones if they pop up...and I still have 3 nice used ones in need of a ride...
