We have used them with zero issues. It took a while to tune but the end result was just fine. And what could it have been with efi? I am sure we will have to agree to disagree on this one.

Hell we made 600 horse once with a BONE STOCK 5.0 out of a 86 mustang from the junk yard. And that wasn't even trying!
So what exactly did you do to the bone stock 86 5.0 to get 600HP just out of curiousity, that would be cool. Pull up to a light with a bone stock looking four eye 5.0 and smoke someone.lol I had an 86 mustang cobra back when I was 20 had a lot of fun with it stock, used to love smokin the irocs.

It was pretty easy really....explore intake, 42lb injectors, 70mm T-body and MAF. and 1.72 RR. and my own turbo kit with a 60-1 ball bearing turbo.

What problems did some have with the powerjection have? I am asking because I just installed one on a customers car and it seems to run well but curious about possible pitfalls.

We had none Guessing those set ups cost a bit more than a grand. Just out of curiosity, why do you guys not intercool? Yes I know the piping run is shorter, but it seems the benefits of intercooling outweigh the cost of a little extra pipe.

It looks like he was going to run a pipe for the upper rad hose. The pic before it looks like that red tank has a metal line going to it.It doesnt look like it made it to the final build

I saw it didn't make it in the final build but I swear it looks like he had plumbed a steel line from the top rad hose to the turbo.
I know there is a steel line from rad fill spout to the overflow bottle but this line runs along side it for a ways.

We had gotten a bad module and had some other tuning issues with their system. But we got it figured out.

I will tell you the ones that we are using for a LOT of our builds right now are the new Borg Warner EFR turbos. Do a search and check them out. They have a lot of cool features. Not cheap, but very cool and great performance. We have been using Borg Warner turbos for about 3 years now.

Oh, I see what you are talking about now. I could not see it on my phone yesterday. It is a water and oil cooled turbo. Most of the ball bearing turbos and even some of the journal bearing turbos are now water AND oil cooled. I usually try to stay away from them if possible on the journal bearing turbos as we have seen quite a few that end up mixing oil and water when the seals give. I personally had this happen on my Subaru. Luckily I caught it before any serious damage had been done, but I do attribute this failure to the eventual rod bearing failure I experienced.

Not pretty, but I guess it probably got them job done for them.

I don't have any pics of our recent domestic builds. But when we get the Cobra up and running I will try to snap some pics. Going with the new Borg Warner EFR series of turbos. Seen those yet? We are shooting for 1300 up from the 1100 it is currently making with the supercharger.
