Newer EGR Cooler

My 05 F250 is at the dealership for the EGR cooler issue. Service adviser says the coolers they have been putting in have been redesigned because they have not had any return after after the original has been replaced. Is he correct or is he FOS?
Thinking of putting on the Bulletproof EGR cooler.

BTW, I requested Ford Repair Assistance Program and if they deny my request I'll probably be towing it home and DIY.

They went from round to square, they all seemed to blow up about the same...

Unfortunately the newer ones are more prone to failure than the early ones. If they had come out w/ a better design, then there should be a TSB - and there isn't.

Yeah read that before, round ones are better. Pretty much contradicts his theory.
